Boston Bruins Captain Zdeno Chara Returns To Practice
39-year-old Boston Bruins Captain Zdeno Chara missed Thursday night’s win over the San Jose Sharks, but his presence at Friday practice meant he’s likely a go for the weekend games against the Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens barring anything unexpected.
“I just felt so fatigued and so out of it that you would probably do more harm to yourself and to the team than good,” said Chara. “So we decided that it would probably best to stay away to risk any injuries, or to risk spreading anything through the locker room.
“It was good yesterday and a lot of progress from yesterday to today, so I should be good to go for tomorrow.”
Chara and the Boston Bruins are going to look to build off of the key win in new coach Bruce Cassidy‘s first game at the helm.
Coming up the team has two games at home before heading out on the road to the west coast for a four game road trip.
So buckle up B’s fans as the after this weekend we will be watching late night hockey.
Below are the lines from Thursdays practice with the addition of Chara returning to his normal spot on the first defensive pairing with Brandon Carlo.
