The Boston Bruins Win First Game With New Head Coach

Claude Julien may have been the problem after all as Bruins route Sharks in first game with new coach

This is not a joke they actually did win

Claude Julien may have been the problem after all as Bruins route Sharks in first game with new coach.

The Boston Bruin defeated the San Jose sharks by a score of 6-3. Maybe the coaching change did work. It could also be the typical Bruins come out hot and put up 6 and then tonight they will get shutout.

David Backes opened the scoring just 52 seconds into the game, ending his goal drought. Then 8 minutes later Joe Thornton scored and it seemed as if it was going to be the same song again, where the Bruin score first then just get blown out. It was the complete opposite. Patrice Bergeron then scored the Bruins 2nd goal at 15:52, then 2 minutes later David Pastrnak ended his drought with another B’s goal. That ended the scoring in the first.

The Sharks kicked off the second with a goal from Justin Braun, just 1 minute into the period. The game then went quiet until Tim Schaller potted the 4th goal at 13:04. David Pastrnak then scored his second power play goal of the game. The Bruins first power play unit has finally found some chemistry as we can see by the no look pass from Bergeron. That ended the second period.

Brad Marchand capped the game with a 6th goal in the ending seconds of the third.

Cassidy as his first win as Bruins Head Coach

The Bruins face-off against the Vancouver Canucks tonight at home. then have a week off.
