Boston Red Sox Baseball Is Back Today Against The Northeastern Huskies

Boston Red Sox baseball is back, today they take on Northeastern University at Jet Blue Park. This game marks a long tradition for Boston’s first spring game to involve a college team, unlike most years though they will only be facing the Huskies today. Typically, Boston College also participates, but they aren’t this year because of their current college schedule that cannot fit the Red Sox game. The Eagles though will maintain their relationship with the Red Sox by hosting a game at Fenway Park this season during their yearly ALS game.

Here is the starting lineup for today’s game against the Huskies.

  1. Mookie Betts, RF
  2. Xander Bogaerts, SS
  3. Mitch Moreland, 1B
  4. Chris Young, LF
  5. Pablo Sandoval, 3B
  6. Sam Travis, DH
  7. Marco Hernandez, 2B
  8. Rusney Castillo, CF
  9. Christian Vazquez, C

Starting Pitcher: Brian Johnson

Today’s game starts at 1:05 PM ET. Unfortunately the game will not be televised. The Red Sox’s first Grapefruit league game is on Friday against the Mets and the first televised game is on Saturday against the Twins.
