Boston Bruins End Road Trip On High Note
The Boston Bruins end their road trip with a 3-1 record. Today’s win puts them back in the playoffs.
Boston Started the game off with a David Backes fight just 2 seconds into the game. Five minutes later Brad Marchand scored the first goal of the game. Then just one minute later David Krejci scored the B’s second goal. The Game stayed at 2-0 for the remainder of the first.
Dallas answered in the second period with two goals of their own from John Klingberg and Jiri Hudler the goals came at 4:40 and 11:49 respectively. 3 minutes later Frank Vatrano answered with his 10th goal of the season in just 28 games. Shortly after Frank’s goal Patrice Bergeron decided to join the party for the Bruins 4th goal of the game. Bergy’s goal ended the scoring for the second. Bergeron had 3 points in the game and was 70 percent in the faceoff circle. This is what he had to say after the game.
“Yeah, we were getting the bounces,” Bergeron said. “Sometimes it doesn’t always go your way, but this afternoon it was one of those days where we were getting the looks and generating some chances off of us moving our feet, but also reading off each other.”
Bergeron then opened the scoring in the second extending the lead to three. Tyler Seguin answered to take the lead back to two. Ryan Spooner scored on the power play to bring the lead back to three and making the game 6-3 which was the final.
This was a big win for the Bruins, like I said earlier they need to be in a must win state of mind for the next 21 games they have left in the season. The win tonight places the Black and Gold back into the Playoff picture by just one point ahead of Toronto who still has games in hand.
Boston plays the Coyotes Tuesday as they come back home.
