This was a very winnable and almost a must win for the Bruins. It is a great way to start after the short break due to the All-Star game. The B’s came out flat in the first period in very Bruins fashion. They almost gave up a goal  13 minutes into the game but Colin Miller was able to clear the puck, just milliseconds before the puck crossed the line. The first then ended scoreless.

The Lightning then scored the games first goal just one 8:41 into the second period. The Goal was scored by Alex Killorn. Then with just two minutes left in the period Patrice Bergeron tipped in a shot from an Adam McQuaid shot. Then seconds before the period ended David Krejci scored off a great setup from Brad Marchand.

Killorn kicked off the scoring just 4 minutes into the third for his second goal of the game, the goal came off of a Bruins defensive breakdown. Then three minutes later Captain Zdeno Chara scored on a rocket of a shot. Frank “The Tank” Vatrano extended the B’s lead with a power play goal. Frank has played very well since he has come back for injury. He now has 6 goals on the season in only 19 games.  The Lightning answered with a goal from Brayden Point, but that would be it for them. The Bruins were able to hold off the Lightning’s, late period push for the win.

Brad Marchand is a dirty player

Brad Marchand finished the game with two assists. He picked up from where he left off from before the All-Star Game.

He did do another stupid thing in yesterdays game though. He slew footed Anton Stralman, the play was nowhere near Stralman and Marchand just decides to take him out. I do not care who you are that is a dick move.He recently had a hearing for the same thing on Niklas Kronwall of the Red Wings

This type of cheap shot is the most dangerous one in all of hockey. It leaves the player defenseless as they fall to the ice because their feet are taken from beneath them. Luckily for Marchand he will not receive a hearing for it but he should. Marchy should be suspended for 5 plus games. I do not care that he is on the Bruins, this can not be allowed to happen, he may seriously injure someone the next time he does this. Yes he will do it again. Marchand is a dirty player, the only reason I like him is because he is on the Bruins.
